When launching Emboo River in 2019, we were often told that our full eco vision was impossible, too big, too expensive or too slow. We ignored that advise. Instead, we surrounded ourselves with likeminded people who are innovators in their fields.
Together we assessed every aspect of our operations and implemented conscious solutions that help us to elevate our guest experience, stand out with a unique product that offers added value to our guests, save money and get a return on our investment, empower our community and restore our environment.
Through trial and error, we perfected the Closed Loop System that makes Emboo River's sustainable operations a success... and we love sharing our experiences with others!
While Emboo River is proud to lead the way to sustainability, it is essential that all actors in the tourism sector and beyond follow a sustainable approach in order to conserve our planet for generations to come.
Lodge managers, government actors, wildlife conservationists, community leaders, tour operators and others visit Emboo River's Innovation Hub in the Maasai Mara to feel inspired, learn about our ecosystem and receive a roadmap on how to develop their own sustainable business, community centre or daily lifestyle.
Emboo River is offering consultancy to help businesses in the tourism space and beyond to make their operations sustainable.
A few days ago we invited 100s of Managers from around the Maasai Mara to experience this Innovation Hub!
The Mara Managers Forum regularly meets to discuss progress within the Maasai Mara and their meeting on 21 April 2023 focused on sustainability, partnerships and team empowerment. For this event we partnered with some strong players in the tourism industry and beyond!
